INVT PLC - IVC Series Programmable Controllers
INVT IVC series PLCs are programmable controllers designed for small and medium-sized machine automation systems. Depending on the CPU and expansion configuration, they can be used for digital and analog I/O control, high-speed counting, pulse positioning, serial communication and process-control applications.
With serial communication, high-speed I/O and expandable analog and temperature modules, the IVC platform can be integrated into different industrial automation systems.
INVT IVC PLC Main Features
- Maximum system I/O capacity: 128 points
- 3 isolated serial ports: 1 × RS232 and 2 × RS485
- Support for up to 6 high-speed counter / pulse inputs
- Up to 3 × 100 kHz pulse outputs on transistor-output models
- Program capacity: 16K
- Non-volatile program storage
- Rechargeable lithium battery for real-time clock retention
- Support for up to 7 expansion modules
- CPU supply versions for 19–30 VDC or 85–264 VAC
RS232, RS485 and Modbus Communication
The IVC PLC family supports several serial communication methods, including Modbus RS485, free-port communication, programming-port protocols and PLC-to-PLC communication.
This allows an IVC PLC to exchange data with HMI panels, variable frequency drives, controllers and other automation devices within the same machine or production system.
C:C PLC-to-PLC Communication
The dedicated C:C communication mode allows multiple IVC PLCs to exchange data with each other. Selected bit and word data can be shared between controllers for machine interlocking, status exchange and coordinated control.
This can simplify applications where several PLC-controlled machine sections need to exchange operating information without adding a separate higher-level controller.
High-Speed Counter Inputs
High-speed inputs can be used for single-phase counting, up/down counting and two-phase counting applications.
Depending on the PLC model and configuration, high-speed inputs such as X0–X7 can support functions including:
- High-speed counting
- Pulse capture
- External interrupt functions
- Frequency measurement
- Digital filtering
Frequency measurement can also be used for speed-monitoring applications such as electronic tachometers.
100 kHz High-Speed Pulse Outputs
Transistor-output IVC PLC models can support up to three 100 kHz pulse outputs.
Two common output methods are supported:
- PTO - Pulse Train Output
- PWM - Pulse Width Modulation
Pulse-output instructions can be used for positioning applications. Functions described in the IVC programming environment include DSZR, PLSR, DRVI and DRVA for origin return, acceleration/deceleration and relative or absolute positioning.
INVT PLC Programming Software
The INVT PLC programming environment provides project management, main-program and subprogram organization, program navigation and compilation-error diagnostics.

Supported Programming Methods
The IVC programming environment supports several PLC programming formats:
- LAD - Ladder Diagram
- IL - Instruction List
- SFC - Sequential Function Chart
These programming methods can be used for applications ranging from conventional relay-style logic to sequential machine-control operations.
PID and Programming Wizards
The programming software includes configuration tools intended to simplify setup of more complex instructions and parameters. Functions such as PID control can be configured without manually building every parameter structure from the beginning.
INVT PLC Expansion Modules
IVC PLC systems can be expanded with digital I/O, analog I/O and temperature-input modules. These INVT PLC expansion modules are installed alongside the main PLC CPU to increase system I/O capability.
Available module groups include:
- AD: Analog input modules
- DA: Analog output modules
- TC: Thermocouple input modules
- PT: Pt100 temperature-input modules
These modules allow the PLC to process temperature, pressure, level and other analog process signals as part of the machine-control system.
