OtomasyonAVM Community Rules
Sharing knowledge, supporting fellow professionals and helping education are central to the OtomasyonAVM community. Students, teachers, academics, technicians and industry professionals can all contribute. The following rules apply to the technical contributions and voluntary equipment support described on our About OtomasyonAVM page.
Respectful communication: Respect different views and levels of experience. Technical arguments may be challenged; personal abuse, threats, discrimination and harassment are not acceptable. If you find an error, explain the issue, your reasoning and any supporting source rather than attacking the contributor.
Useful technical contributions: We welcome application notes, fault-finding experience, educational material and technical documents. When discussing PLCs and HMIs, variable frequency drives or sensors, identify the manufacturer, full model, software version and operating conditions as clearly as possible. Distinguish measured results from personal experience and assumptions. Do not present an unverified suggestion as a guaranteed solution.
Sources and copyright: Submit only text, photographs, drawings, software and documents that you own or have the right to share. For third-party material, identify the source and rights holder and obtain any required permission. Attribution alone does not authorise every use. Confidential business documents, unauthorised copies, licence-cracking tools and malicious files are not accepted. When submitting a contribution, explain how you wish to be credited and what publication use you permit.
Technical safety: Contributions provide general information and practical experience. An approach that works on one installation may not be suitable for another. Before wiring, commissioning or repair, qualified people must assess the manufacturer's instructions, actual equipment condition and safety requirements. Content that encourages bypassing safety circuits or unsafe working practices will not be published.
Privacy: Do not share identity documents, passwords, customer details or other people's contact information. Remove personal and confidential information from photographs and screenshots before submitting them. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled.
Educational support and direct equipment donations: Schools, students and educators may explain their needs, and equipment owners may offer items for educational use through the website's contact channel. Submitting a request or offer does not confirm acceptance or guarantee support. Clearly describe the model, quantity, operating condition, known faults, missing parts and intended educational use. The availability of second-hand equipment for sale does not mean that it is available for donation.
Donation delivery and responsibilities: For donations arranged directly between the parties, delivery, shipping costs and the handover method are agreed by the donor and recipient unless separately accepted in writing by OtomasyonAVM. Passing on a request does not mean that OtomasyonAVM has received, tested or agreed to ship the equipment. Its condition must be described accurately to the recipient, and safety and suitability checks must be completed before use. Obligations arising from activities actually undertaken by the platform remain applicable.
Commercial transactions and promotion: Purchases are governed by the Distance Sales Contract, Delivery Information and Warranty and Returns Conditions. Account use is covered by the Membership Agreement. Contributing to the community does not automatically grant seller or advertiser privileges. Sponsorship and commercial interests must be disclosed. Undisclosed advertising, fake reviews and misleading product claims are not accepted.
Editorial review: OtomasyonAVM is not a discussion forum. Submissions are not published automatically and may be reviewed for relevance, accuracy, copyright, privacy and safety. We may request corrections, decline publication or remove material that breaches these rules. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to restrictions on contributions or account access under the applicable membership terms.
Reports and appeals: Use the website's contact channel to report inaccurate information, unauthorised use or to appeal a publication decision. Include the page address, your reasons and any supporting documents. Do not post personal details publicly. Reports and appeals may be reassessed on the basis of the content and evidence provided.
