Toshiba G9 User manuals

The Electronic Operator Interface (EOI) features a rotary encoder and an LCD screen to facilitate the setup and programming of the Adjustable Speed Drive (ASD). Users can navigate through the primary and sub-menu items using the rotary encoder, which also functions as an enter key when pressed. Parameters can be edited directly by selecting the item and entering the edit mode. To save changes, press the encoder; to exit without saving, press the ESC key.
Startup Wizard
Upon initial power-up or after a factory reset, the Startup Wizard launches automatically, guiding the user through essential settings. Options include immediate setup, delaying setup, or manual configuration. The wizard simplifies the setup process, with options to skip or finalize settings at any point.
Programming and Parameter Setup
Programming involves setting various parameters related to the motor and ASD operation:
F405 Voltage/Frequency Rating of Motor: Configures the motor's rated voltage and frequency.
F012 Upper Limit Frequency & F013 Lower Limit Frequency: Defines the highest and lowest frequency limits that the ASD can handle.
F000 Automatic Acceleration/Deceleration: Adjusts acceleration and deceleration rates based on load.
F009 Acceleration Time & F010 Deceleration Time: Sets the time for the ASD output to reach or drop from the maximum frequency.
F015 Volts Per Hertz Setting: Establishes the output frequency and voltage relationship.
F406 Motor Current Rating & F407 Motor RPM: Inputs motor's Full-Load Amperage and rated speed.
Additional settings for command sources, frequency sources, and display units enhance customization according to specific operational requirements.
Direct Access and Utilities
Users can access any parameter directly via the Program Menu, entering the parameter number at the Direct Access Menu. The "Changed From Default" option lists all parameters altered from default settings, allowing easy review and modification.
Analog Inputs and Outputs
RR Analog Input: Can be programmed to control motor speed or torque, with adjustable scaling, gain, and bias.
V/I Analog Input: An isolated terminal that controls speed or torque, configurable for current or voltage input.
FM Analog Output: Outputs current or voltage proportional to the ASD's output frequency or assigned function.
AM Analog Output: Outputs a 0-20 mA current proportional to the ASD's output current or assigned function.
Each terminal setup includes parameters for function setting, calibration, switching selection, response polarity, and bias adjustment, ensuring precise control and application-specific customization.
Note: It's recommended to record motor information for future reference using the Motor Information outline provided in this guide.
