What should be done to troubleshoot Shihlin VFD?
Main circuit
•Is the voltage between terminals R/L1 S/L2 T/L3 normal?
• Is the POWER light on?
•Is the wiring between the inverter and the motor correct?
Load
•Is the load too heavy?
•Is the motor rotor locked?
Parameter settings
•Is the start up frequency (01 11(P.13)) set too high?
•Is the operation mode (00 16(P.79)) correct?
•Is the upper limit frequency (01 00(P.1)) set to zero?
•Is reverse rotation prevention (00 15(P.78)) limited?
•Is the signal bias and gain (02 12~02 15, 02 25~02 28/P.192~P.199) correct?
•Is the frequency jump (01 16~01 21/P.91~P.96) correct?
•Does the voltage/current signal fluctuate due to noise?
•Has the motor load changed?
•Is the main circuit wiring too long?

4. During PID control, the feedback signal is not connected or dropped
1.Use an inverter or a motor with bigger capacity.
2.Check the feedback gain value. Reset the target value according to the feedback.
3.Check all peripheral feedback devices of the system (sensors, potentiometer) and wirings
CPr; CPU error.

Error; Under-voltage
1. Under-voltage for power supply
2. The reset function “RES” is on
3. Bad connection between the operation panel and main machine
4. Internal circuit malfunction
5. Wrong CPU operation
1. Provide a normal power supply
2. Shut off “RES”
3. Ensure firm connection between the operation panel and the main machine
4. Replace the inverter.
5. Restart the inverter

Ov1; Over voltage during acceleration. (OU1)
1.Check whether the input power voltage is abnormal
2.Check whether the motor is grounded (if so, it is recommended to remove the ground wire after turning off the power)
3. Check the insulation condition of the motor power line (for example: the insulation of the three phase motor is short to gr ound, the power line is short circuited, or short circuit between power line and the metal part of the electric cabinet)
Ov2; Over voltage at constant speed. (OU2)
1.Check whether the input power voltage is abnormal
2.Check whether the motor i s grounded (if so, it is recommended to remove the ground wire after turning off the power)
3.It is recommended to add an input AC reactor at the input end of the inverter
4. Check the insulation condition of the motor power line (for example: the insulatio n of the three phase motor is
short to ground, the power line is short circuited, or short circuit between power line and the metal part of the electric cabinet)

Ov3; Over voltage during deceleration. (OU3)
1.It is recommended to increase the deceleration time P.8 (01 07)
2.It is recommended to add braking unit and braking resistor
3.Set the base voltage parameter P.19 (01 04) to 9999
4 Check the insulation condition of the motor power line (for example: the insulation of the three phase motor is
short to ground, the power line is short circuited, or short circuit between power line and the metal part of the electric cabinet)
Ovxx ; The voltage between terminals (+ / P)--((--/ N) is too high or the motor leaks to ground;
The external power supply line has large power equipment start and stop affecting the power grid surge

OL2; Overloaded motor: The solution is to reduce the load on the motor.
Unreasonably set P.155 and P.156: The solution is to adjust the set values of P.155 and P.156 properly.

rHr; IGBT module Overheat.(THT)
1. IGBT module thermal relay actuate (overload warning)
2. 01.03 (P.3) setting does not match the rated frequency of the motor
3. Insufficient input power voltage causes inverter output capacity reduced.
4.The three phase input connection of the motor is incorrect.
a. Check whether the inverter specifications match the motor specification.
b. Check whether the load of the system is too heavy, and whether the output current displayed by the inverter exceeds the rated current
c. Check whether the wiring of the motor is correct (usually 220V motor is delta ( △ ) connection, 380V motor is star (Y) connection, please check motor nameplate for connection details)
d. Check whether the motor wiring is damaged
e.Check whether the setting value of P.9 (06 00) matches the rated current of the motor
f.Ch eck whether the parameter setting of P.3 (01 03) is the same with the rated frequency of the motor
rHn; Motor Overheated.
Thermal relay actuate
1. Check whether the inverter specifications match the motor specifications
2. Check whether the load of the system is too heavy, and whether the output current displayed by the inverter exceeds the rated current
3. Check whether the wiring of the motor is correct (usually 220V motor is delta ( △ ) connection, 380V motor is star (Y) connection, please c heck motor nameplate for connection details)
4. Check whether the motor wiring is damaged
5. Check whether the setting value of P.9 (06 00) matches the rated current of the motor
6. Check whether the parameter setting of P.3 (01 03) is the same with the rated frequency of the motor

OHr (Oht); External thermal relay actuate.1.Check if the thermal relay used matches the motor (check motor nameplate)
2.Reduce the load

OPr (OPT); RS485 connector error.
1.Communication error , exceeding the retry limit.
2. External noise interference
3. The logic of the communication control program is unreasonable
4 Disconnect time exceeding the limit.
a. Check whether the parameter (P.32,P.33, P.36, P.154) setting is the same with upper c ontroller communication setting
b. Check whether the RS485 DA+ and DB terminal wiring is correctly connected to the upper controller
c. Check whether the communication protocol of the upper controller is the same as the one decla red in inverter
d. The commun ication line is interfered by external noise (it is recommended to use twisted pair shielded wire and connect to the signal ground correctly)
e. The inverter internal communication port is damaged and needs to be returned to the factory for inspection

PUE; PU connector error.
CbE; Expansion connector error.
1.It is recommended to use twisted pair shielded communication lines and the shielding layer is properly grounded

3.Set the communication parameters correctly
OLS; Stall prevention and protection.
Over loaded motor
1.Reduce the load
2.Increase 06 01(P.22) value.

OC0; Over-current when stop.
2. Check whether a contactor is used in series on the output side of the inverter, the contactor’ s contacts will arc and leads to inverter detects overcurrent (please avoid this usage, please refer to manual for wiring details
3 The control circuit of the inverter is interfered with external noise (for example: the electromagnetic contactor frequently switches to power supply load ), it is recommended to add magnetic ring s on output line of the electromagnetic contactor, and add m agnetic ring
with 2~3 windings on control terminal input signal on inverter
4. If alarm OC0 when the motor is disconnected, it needs to be sent to the factory for inspection

1. It is recommended to in crease the acceleration time P.7 (01 06)
2.Check the insulation condition of the motor power line (for example: the insulation of the three phase motor is
short to ground , the power line is short circuited, or short circuit between power line and the metal part of the electric cabinet)
3.Check whether the base frequency parameter P.3 (01 03) of the inverter is the same with the rated frequency of the motor

3.Check whether the selection of the inverter power is too low
