Dear colleagues, hello

The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 4M is a family of AC drives designed for machine level speed control. They are compact and space-saving, making them ideal for OEMs and end users who require easy-to-use, versatile drives that provide application flexibility, feed-through wiring, and ease-of-programming. The PowerFlex 4M drives are available in three frame sizes, with power ratings from 0.2 to 11 kW, and in voltage classes of 120, 240, and 480 volts. They feature DIN rail mounting, feed-through wiring, and versatile programming and network solutions, making them easy to install and retrofit into existing systems. They also offer energy savings through speed control and regulation, helping to reduce energy costs and mechanical wear and tear.

The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 4M is a family of AC drives that are designed to provide powerful motor speed control in a compact and space-saving design. They are the smallest and most cost-effective member of the PowerFlex family of drives and are ideal for machine level speed control. These drives provide application versatility to meet the demands of global OEMs and end users who require space savings and easy-to-use AC drives that provide application flexibility, feed-through wiring, and ease-of-programming. The PowerFlex 4M AC drives are available in three frame sizes (A, B, and C) and power ratings from 0.2 to 11 kW (0.25 to 15 Hp) and in voltage classes of 120, 240, and 480 volts.

The PowerFlex 4M AC drives come with several product features that make them versatile and easy to use:

DIN Rail Mounting Design: The drives can be easily mounted on DIN rails, making installation a snap. Zero Stacking™ is allowable for ambient temperatures up to 40°C, saving valuable panel space, and 50°C ambient temperatures are permitted with minimal spacing between drives.
Feed-through Wiring Design: The drives have feed-through wiring design that makes it easy to retrofit into applications requiring variable speed motor control. This feature provides simple variable speed motor control with minimal installation and retrofitting time.

The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 4M AC drive is a compact and cost-effective solution for machine-level speed control. It offers DIN rail mounting, feed-through wiring, and ease of programming for versatility and application flexibility. The drive also features integral RS485 communications for multi-drop network configuration and compatibility with a variety of controllers. Additionally, it offers premier integration with the Allen-Bradley Logix control platform, and energy savings through speed control and regulation.

The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 4M AC drive has versatile programming and network solutions to meet the demands of global OEMs and end users. It features an integral RS485 communications that enables the drives to be used in a multi-drop network configuration. The serial converter module provides connectivity to any controller that has the ability to initiate DF1 messaging. Additionally, a NEMA/UL Type 4X remote and NEMA/UL Type 1 handheld LCD keypad provide additional programming and control flexibility, both featuring the popular CopyCat function.

The DriveExplorer and DriveTools SP software can also be used to program, monitor, and control the drives. The drive also has a premier integration with PowerFlex Drives, which simplifies parameter and tag programming while still allowing stand-alone drive software tool use on the factory floor. Using AC drives to operate mechanical equipment at optimum speed helps reduce energy costs and eliminates mechanical wear and tear in the mechanical parts.
