INVT Goodrive10 (GD10) Variable Frequency Drive

INVT Goodrive10 is a compact VFD family intended for small motors and straightforward machine-control applications. It is particularly useful where panel space is limited and the application requires adjustable motor speed, basic automation functions and RS485 communication without moving to a larger drive platform.

GD10 combines SVPWM motor control, analog frequency reference, multi-step speed operation, built-in PID, programmable digital inputs, DC braking and Modbus communication in a small enclosure.

Where the GD10 Fits

The GD10 is aimed at general-purpose applications that do not require a more advanced closed-loop or high-performance vector-control platform. Typical installations include packaging machinery, food-processing equipment, textile machines, centrifugal equipment, engraving machines and wire-cutting systems.

Its compact construction is especially useful in OEM machines and small control cabinets where several devices must share limited panel space.

Cooling and Braking

Selected low-power 220 V GD10 models from 0.2 to 0.75 kW use natural cooling. Higher-power 220 V units and the 380 V models use forced-air cooling.

A -B suffix in the GD10 model code identifies versions equipped with an integrated braking unit. Where an external braking resistor is required, its resistance and power rating must be selected according to the exact GD10 model and the braking duty of the machine.

GD10 Programmable Digital Input Functions

The S1–S5 digital inputs are configured through the GD10 parameter set. They can be used for run commands, JOG operation, fault reset, multi-step speed selection, PID control, counter functions and command-source switching.

Note: The GD10 digital-input function numbers are not continuous. Functions should be assigned to S1–S5 through the relevant parameter group according to the machine wiring and required operating sequence.
