Toshiba G9 fault codes 2
Over-Voltage (OP):
Causes: High incoming utility power, short deceleration time.
+ Solution: Check incoming power levels, adjust deceleration settings, consider installing an inductive filter.
Under-Current (UC):
Causes: Output current is below the set level for an extended period.
+ Solution: Check the load and ensure the motor is properly connected and functioning.
Pre Over-Torque (POT):
Causes: Output torque of ASD is greater than 70% of parameter F616 setting.
+ Solution: Adjust parameter F616, check load conditions.
Reverse Limit Switch (RLS):
- Cause: Crane has reached the end-of-travel in reverse direction.
+ Solution: Check crane operation and limit switch settings.
Run Before Ready (RBR):
- Cause: Run command received at power up or reset activated while running.
+ Solution: Ensure proper sequence of operation; check system programming.
Slack Rope (SLCR):
- Cause: Output torque level is too low.
+ Solution: Check torque settings, ensure proper operation in closed-loop hoist mode.
Switch Out Of Sequence (OSF):
- Cause: Run command active during power up or reset activated while running.
+ Solution: Check system settings and operator sequence to ensure correct operation.
Timed Run (TRUN):
- Cause: Timed run activated via discrete input terminal.
+ Solution: Check the system settings and ensure the timer settings are correct.
Torque Proving (TPF):
- Cause: Output torque level does not meet the required settings during active run command.
+ Solution: Check and adjust the torque settings, ensure the load is within capacity.
Under-Voltage (UP):
Causes: Input 3-phase voltage is too low.
+ Solution: Check the utility voltage, ensure it is within the specified range for operation.
Over-Current During Acceleration, Deceleration, and Run (OC1, OC2, OC3):
Causes: High load fluctuations, mechanical jam, or incorrect phase connections.
+ Solution: Adjust acceleration and deceleration times, check mechanical system and connections.
Overheat During Acceleration, Deceleration, and Run (OC1P, OC2P, OC3P):
Causes: Blocked cooling system, high ambient temperature.
+ Solution: Ensure adequate ventilation, check and maintain the cooling system.
Over-Torque During Operation (OT):
- Cause: Load demands exceed the torque settings.
+ Solution: Check load conditions, adjust torque parameters if necessary.
Over-Voltage During Different Operational Phases (OP1, OP2, OP3):
Causes: High utility voltage, regenerative load effects.
+ Solution: Check voltage levels, adjust DBR settings, and ensure proper parameter settings.
RAM Fault (ERR2):
- Cause: Internal RAM malfunction.
+ Solution: The ASD may need servicing or part replacement; contact technical support.
ROM Fault (ERR3):
- Cause: Internal ROM malfunction.
+ Solution: Similar to RAM issues, this might require servicing or replacement of parts by qualified personnel.
Speed Error (E-13):
- Cause: Motor speed exceeds the commanded speed when using an encoder for speed control.
+ Solution: Check the encoder connections and settings, adjust the speed control parameters.
Step Out (for PM Motor Only) (SOUT):
- Cause: Motor shaft is locked or output phase is open.
+ Solution: Inspect the motor and drive connections for any physical obstructions or disconnections.
Stop Position Retaining Error (E-25):
- Cause: Load movement while stopped, encoder malfunction, or creep speed too high.
+ Solution: Check the load stability, encoder functionality, and adjust the creep speed settings.
Torque Proving (TPF):
- Cause: The output torque level setting of F987 was not reached within the time setting of F988 to allow for the brake release.
+ Solution: Check the load conditions, adjust the torque proving settings, and ensure the brake functions correctly.
Typeform Error (ETYP):
- Cause: Firmware information loaded into the Gate Driver board is inconsistent.
+ Solution: Check for the correct firmware installation or replace the Gate Driver board if needed.
U-Phase Over-Current (OCA1):
- Cause: Low impedance at the U lead of the ASD.
+ Solution: Inspect the U phase connections for shorts or damage.
V, W Phase Over-Current (OCL):
- Cause: External low impedance at the V or W lead of the ASD output.
+ Solution: Check the V and W phase outputs for any shorts or improper connections.
V/f Control Error (E-20):
- Cause: Error in the torque processing.
+ Solution: May require a service call to properly diagnose and adjust V/f control settings.
External Overheat (OH2):
- Cause: Excessive heat detected at specific terminals.
Setup: See parameter F637 for setup and ensure the environment is within the acceptable temperature range.
Flash Memory Fault (ERR9):
- Cause: Flash memory malfunction.
+ Solution: Likely requires replacement or servicing by technical support.
Gate Array Fault (ERR6):
- Cause: Main Gate Array is defective.
+ Solution: Replacement of the Gate Array is necessary; professional service recommended.
Ground Fault (EF1/EF2):
- Cause: Fault at the motor or output of the ASD, current leakage to Earth Ground.
+ Solution: Check motor and ASD output wiring and insulation; ensure proper grounding.
Input Phase Failure (EPHI):
- Cause: 3-phase input to the ASD is low or missing.
+ Solution: Verify the incoming power supply phases are all present and within the specified voltage range.
