Our inductive sensors are designed for professional purposes in the industrial automation sector. They can detect the presence or absence of metallic objects without physical contact, and are capable of working in the same environment as frequency inverters, power supplies, and induction motors. These sensors are designed with galvanic isolation and high switching speed to prevent interference from potential sources of electrical noise.

When choosing between NPN and PNP output sensors, it's important to consider the wiring diagram and sensing distance. We generally recommend using NPN sensors because they are better suited to field conditions, especially in devices such as PLCs and counters where they are less affected by noise.

Please note that our wired model sensors are only sold with their original cable length, and if you need a longer cable or connector , you should refer to the product descriptions.

When choosing between NPN and PNP output sensors, it's important to consider the wiring diagram and sensing distance. Both NPN and PNP sensors are used in various industrial applications and the choice of output type depends on the specific needs of your application.

Example:
NPN sensors are normally closed (NC) and have a negative output signal. This means that the output signal is low (0V) when the sensor is detecting an object, and high (+V) when there is no object.

PNP sensors are normally open (NO) and have a positive output signal. This means that the output signal is high (+V) when the sensor is detecting an object, and low (0V) when there is no object.

For the most accurate and reliable detection, we recommend using sensors with flat heads. This is because the sensor body is made of metal and is only sensitive to the metal directly in front of it, so it cannot detect unwanted materials from other directions. In our projects, we generally use flat head models.

However, protruding head sensors can also detect objects on their sides, making them useful in certain applications. The choice of head type should be based on the specific needs of your application and the environment in which the sensor will be used.
