Shihlin PLC Systems

Shihlin PLCs are programmable logic controllers designed for applications ranging from basic machine control to expandable industrial automation systems.

AX Series PLC architecture: According to the source information, the Shihlin AX family ranges from compact models such as the AX1S with approximately 10 I/O points to expandable systems such as the AX3U, which can be configured for considerably larger I/O requirements.

Memory and expansion: Depending on the PLC model, program memory and system capability can be increased with memory cassettes or expansion modules. CPU, memory and expansion compatibility should always be checked for the specific AX model.

Shihlin AX PLC Series

AX0 / AX0S / AX0N: These compact PLC families are intended for basic machine-control applications. The source page describes AX0-family configurations with approximately 30 I/O points and support for selected special-function or expansion modules.

AX1S: The source information lists compact AX1S controllers with approximately 10, 14, 20 and 30 I/O points. The AX1S is primarily a compact fixed-I/O PLC, with more limited expansion capability than larger AX-series controllers.

AX1N: AX1N provides greater flexibility through digital expansion and special-function modules. Depending on the configuration, additional input/output points can be added for larger machine-control applications.

AX3U: The AX3U family is intended for applications requiring higher I/O capacity and greater system expansion. The source page states that AX3U systems can be configured for up to approximately 384 I/O points with suitable expansion modules.

CPU, power supply and I/O: Compact Shihlin PLCs may combine the CPU, digital inputs/outputs and basic RUN/STOP control in a single unit. Larger systems can be expanded with digital I/O, communication and special-function modules. External industrial power supplies should be selected according to the electrical requirements of the application.
