Omron V1000 fault codes
Types of Alarms, Faults, and Errors
Faults
- When a fault is detected by the drive:
- The digital operator displays a message indicating the specific fault, and the ALM indicator LED remains on until the fault is reset.
- The fault interrupts drive output, causing the motor to coast to a stop.
- The drive and motor may stop using different methods, depending on the settings.
- If a digital output is programmed for fault output (H2-.. = E), it will activate if a fault occurs.
- The drive will remain inoperable until the fault is reset. Refer to "Fault Reset Methods" on page 223.
Minor Faults and Alarms
- When the drive detects an alarm or minor fault:
- The digital operator displays a message indicating the specific alarm or minor fault, and the ALM indicator LED flashes.
- The motor does not stop.
- A multi-function contact output activates if set for a minor fault (H2-.. = 10), but not for an alarm.
- To automatically reset, remove the cause of the alarm or minor fault.
Operation Errors
- Operation errors occur when parameter settings conflict with each other or do not match hardware settings, such as with an option card.
- When an operation error is detected:
- The digital operator displays a message indicating the specific error.
- Multi-function contact outputs do not activate.
- The drive will not operate the motor until the error is reset. Correct the settings that caused the operation error to reset.
Tuning Errors
- Tuning errors occur during Auto-Tuning.
- When a tuning error is detected:
- The digital operator displays a message indicating the specific error.
- Multi-function contact outputs do not activate.
- The motor coasts to a stop.
- Remove the cause of the error and repeat the Auto-Tuning process.
