Er.410 - Main Circuit Undervoltage
Fault Code Description:
Er.410 indicates that the DC bus voltage in the main circuit has dropped to a low level. This can be caused by power supply instability, momentary voltage drops, phase loss, or a malfunctioning servo drive.
Causes:
Main power supply is unstable or failing:
- The input voltage supplied to the servo drive may be below the specified limits.
Momentary power outage occurs:
- There may be a brief interruption in the power supply.
Voltage drop during operation:
- Voltage may drop when other devices are connected to the main power supply.
Phase loss:
- Phase loss can occur when trying to run a three-phase servo drive on a single-phase power supply.
Servo drive malfunction:
- A hardware fault in the servo drive may present itself as an undervoltage error.
Troubleshooting and Solutions:
Main power supply is unstable or failing:
- Troubleshooting Method: Measure the RST input voltage at the servo drive. Verify if the input voltage for 220 VAC and 380 VAC drives is within the specified range.
- Solution: Inspect the power supply and increase its capacity if necessary.
Momentary power outage:
- Troubleshooting Method: Check for any sudden interruptions in the input voltage.
- Solution: Use a stabilizer or voltage regulator to mitigate power instability.
Voltage drop during operation:
- Troubleshooting Method: Check if other devices are connected to the main power supply and verify if the power capacity is sufficient.
- Solution: Adjust the power supply to prevent voltage drops or connect other devices to a different power source.
Phase loss:
- Troubleshooting Method: Check if the RST cables in the main circuit are correctly connected and whether phase loss detection (H0A-00) is disabled.
- Solution: Ensure the three-phase power supply is properly connected. If phase loss is detected, reconnect the cables.
Servo drive malfunction:
- Troubleshooting Method: Measure the H0B-26 (bus voltage) value. For a 220 VAC drive, check if H0B-26 is below 200 V; for a 380 VAC drive, check if H0B-26 is below 380 V.
- Solution: If the issue persists, the servo drive may need to be replaced.
Summary:
Er.410 occurs when low voltage is detected in the main circuit. To resolve the issue, inspect the power supply, check phase connections, prevent momentary power outages, and replace the servo drive if necessary.
Er.420 - Power Cable Phase Loss
Fault Code Description:
Er.420 indicates a phase loss in a three-phase servo drive. This is typically due to incorrect or loose RST phase cable connections or using the wrong power supply. Phase loss prevents the servo drive from operating correctly and stops the motor from running.
Causes:
RST phase cables are not properly connected:
- The RST phase cables leading to the servo drive may be loose or incorrectly connected.
Single-phase power is applied to a three-phase servo drive:
- A single-phase power supply may have been connected to a three-phase servo drive by mistake.
Three-phase power supply is unbalanced or voltage is too low:
- There may be voltage imbalance among the three phases, or the voltage levels may be too low.
Servo drive malfunction:
- A fault in the internal hardware of the servo drive could be causing the error.
Troubleshooting and Solutions:
RST phase cables are not properly connected:
- Troubleshooting Method: Check if the RST cables are securely connected to the servo drive and power supply.
- Solution: Reconnect or replace the cables as necessary. Ensure the main circuit is properly connected.
Single-phase power is applied to a three-phase servo drive:
- Troubleshooting Method: Measure the input voltage to verify whether a three-phase or single-phase power supply is being used.
- Solution: If using a single-phase supply, switch to a three-phase power supply. If the servo drive is 0.75 kW, set H0A-00 to 2 to disable warnings and faults.
Three-phase power supply is unbalanced or voltage is too low:
- Troubleshooting Method: Measure the voltage of each phase and check for imbalances.
- Solution: Balance the three-phase power supply and ensure the voltages are within the specified limits.
Servo drive malfunction:
- Troubleshooting Method: Restart the servo drive multiple times. If the error persists, the servo drive may be faulty.
- Solution: Replace the servo drive.
Summary:
Er.420 prevents the servo drive from operating in case of phase loss. To resolve the issue, check the phase connections, use the correct power supply, and ensure phase balance. If the error persists, the servo drive may need to be replaced.
