Er.207 - Shaft D/Q Current Overload
Fault Code Description:
Er.207 indicates an overload in the shaft D/Q current. This occurs when the internal registers of the servo drive become overloaded due to abnormal current feedback or encoder feedback, potentially preventing the motor from functioning correctly. This often points to a hardware issue.
Causes:
Shaft D/Q current overload:
- The internal registers of the servo drive become overloaded due to abnormal current or encoder feedback.
Troubleshooting and Solutions:
Shaft D/Q current overload:
- Troubleshooting Method: If the error persists after restarting the servo drive multiple times, it indicates a hardware problem with the servo drive.
- Solution: Try restoring the default settings and restarting the servo drive. If the error continues, the servo drive will need to be replaced.
Summary:
Er.207 error occurs when the shaft D/Q current overloads. This usually points to an internal hardware issue in the servo drive. The solution is to restart the drive, but if the error persists, replacing the servo drive may be necessary.
Er.208 - FPGA System Sampling Timeout
Fault Code Description:
Er.208 indicates a timeout in the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) system sampling process. This is usually caused by internal communication issues, encoder problems, or current sampling errors. The details of the error can be analyzed using the H0B-45 error code.
Causes:
MCU communication timeout (H0B-45 = 1208):
- There is a communication issue between the microcontroller unit (MCU) and FPGA, often due to an internal chip failure.
Encoder communication timeout (H0B-45 = 2208):
- The encoder cable may be improperly connected, loose, or too long, or the encoder may be faulty.
Current sampling timeout (H0B-45 = 3208):
- There may be interference from large equipment nearby, or multiple sources of interference within the cabinet. The internal current sampling chip may also be faulty.
High-precision AD conversion timeout (H0B-45 = 4208):
- There may be interference in the high-precision analog input (AI) channel.
FPGA operation timeout (H0B-45 = 0208):
- A continuation of the issues from causes 1, 2, 3, or 4 may have led to a timeout in the FPGA operation.
Troubleshooting and Solutions:
MCU communication timeout (H0B-45 = 1208):
- Troubleshooting Method: Check the H0B-45 error code for 1208. This code indicates an internal chip failure.
- Solution: Replace the servo drive.
Encoder communication timeout (H0B-45 = 2208):
- Troubleshooting Method: Check if the encoder cable is properly connected, loose, or too long. Ensure the cables are not bundled with motor cables. Check the H0B-45 error code for 2208.
- Solution: Use a standard encoder cable provided by Inovance. If the existing cable is not up to standard, replace it. If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer and replace the encoder.
Current sampling timeout (H0B-45 = 3208):
- Troubleshooting Method: Check for interference from large equipment and other sources within the cabinet.
- Solution: Separate high current and low current circuits, ensuring they are not grouped together. If the internal current sampling chip is faulty, replace the servo drive.
High-precision AD conversion timeout (H0B-45 = 4208):
- Troubleshooting Method: Check the analog input (AI) cable connections to ensure they are properly connected.
- Solution: Use a short, shielded twisted-pair cable to reduce interference. Try to shorten the cable length.
FPGA operation timeout (H0B-45 = 0208):
- Troubleshooting Method: Check the H0B-45 error code and review causes 1, 2, 3, or 4.
- Solution: Follow the solutions provided for the initial four causes to resolve the FPGA timeout issue.
Summary:
Er.208 error indicates a timeout in the FPGA system due to various issues such as MCU, encoder, current sampling, or high-precision AD conversion communication failures. Solutions include checking the wiring, replacing components, and restarting the servo drive. If the problem persists, replacing the servo drive may be necessary.
Er.210 - Output Ground Short Circuit
Fault Code Description:
Er.210 indicates that the power output (UVW cables) of the servo drive or the motor is short-circuited to ground. This error occurs when the servo drive detects an abnormality in motor phase current or bus voltage during startup self-checks.
Causes:
Servo drive UVW power output cables are shorted to ground:
- The power output cables (UVW) of the servo drive may be shorted to ground.
Motor shorted to ground:
- The motor cables may be shorted to the motor grounding cable.
Servo drive failure:
- There may be an internal fault in the servo drive, causing this error.
Troubleshooting and Solutions:
Servo drive UVW power output cables shorted to ground:
- Troubleshooting Method: Disconnect the motor’s UVW cables and measure whether the UVW motor cables are shorted to ground.
- Solution: If there is a short circuit, reconnect or replace the cables as necessary.
Motor shorted to ground:
- Troubleshooting Method: Ensure that the servo drive’s power cables and motor cables are properly connected. Measure the insulation resistance between the UVW cables and the ground cable (PE), and check if the insulation resistance is at the MΩ level.
- Solution: If the insulation resistance is low and the motor is shorted to ground, replace the motor.
Servo drive failure:
- Troubleshooting Method: Disconnect the motor’s UVW cables and restart the servo drive multiple times. If the error persists, the servo drive is likely faulty.
- Solution: Replace the servo drive.
Summary:
Er.210 error is caused by a short circuit between the output cables or motor and the ground. Checking the connections, measuring the insulation resistance, and replacing the servo drive or motor, if necessary, are the steps to resolve the issue.
