Er.630 - Overheat Protection of Locked-Rotor Motor

Fault Code Description: Er.630 indicates that the motor speed has dropped below 10 rpm, while the torque reference has reached its maximum level. This situation can cause the motor to lock or overload. The error occurs when the time set in the H0A-32 parameter is exceeded.

Causes:

Power output phase loss (UVW) or incorrect phase sequence in the servo drive:
- The motor wiring may have incorrect UVW phase connections or a phase loss may have occurred.

UVW cable or encoder cable may be disconnected:
- There may be a break or connection error in the cables.

Motor rotor is locked due to mechanical factors:
- Mechanical obstruction or excessive load may prevent the motor from running.

Troubleshooting and Solutions:

Power output phase loss (UVW) or incorrect phase sequence:
- Troubleshooting Method: Perform a test run of the motor without load and check the motor cables.
- Solution: Reconnect the motor cables correctly or replace the cables if necessary.

UVW cable or encoder cable is disconnected:
- Troubleshooting Method: Check the wiring.
- Solution: Reconnect the cables correctly or replace them.

Motor rotor is locked due to mechanical factors:
- Troubleshooting Method: Use Inovance servo tuning software or the panel to check the motor speed and operation reference through the H0B-00 parameter. Verify the mode in which the system is running:
-     Position control mode: H0B-13 (input reference pulse counter)
-     Speed control mode: H0B-01 (speed reference)
-     Torque control mode: H0B-02 (internal torque reference)
- Solution: If the operation reference is not zero but the motor speed is zero, resolve the mechanical obstruction.

Summary: Er.630 indicates that the motor has entered a locked-rotor state due to overheating. To resolve this error, check the UVW wiring, encoder cable, and mechanical factors. Reconnecting the cables or removing mechanical obstructions can solve the problem.

Er.650 - Heatsink Overheat

Fault Code Description: Er.650 indicates that the temperature of the power module in the servo drive has exceeded the overheating protection level. This can occur due to high ambient temperature, inadequate cooling, or a faulty fan.

Causes:

   Ambient temperature is too high:
- The ambient temperature may be above the required limits for the drive's operation.

Servo drive is repeatedly being reset due to overload errors:
- The drive may be continuously turned off and on to reset after overload errors (Er.610, Er.620, Er.630, etc.).

   Fan is faulty:
- The fan may not be working properly, or air circulation may be insufficient.

Incorrect mounting direction or distance from other drives:
- The drive may be installed in a way that obstructs proper cooling.

   Servo drive malfunction:
- A hardware fault in the drive could cause this error.

Troubleshooting and Solutions:

   Ambient temperature is too high:
- Troubleshooting Method: Measure the ambient temperature.
- Solution: Improve cooling conditions to lower the ambient temperature.

Servo drive is repeatedly being reset due to overload errors:
- Troubleshooting Method: Check the error logs using H0B-33 and H0B-34 to see if overload errors (Er.610, Er.620, Er.630, Er.650, etc.) have occurred.
- Solution: Change the method for resetting the error. After an overload error, wait for 30 seconds before resetting. If necessary, increase the capacity of the servo drive and motor, extend the acceleration/deceleration time, and reduce the load.

   Fan is faulty:
- Troubleshooting Method: Observe if the fan is rotating during operation.
- Solution: If the fan is not working, replace the fan. If you cannot check the fan's operation, contact Inovance for a replacement.

   Incorrect mounting direction or distance:
- Troubleshooting Method: Verify if the servo drive is installed correctly.
- Solution: Reposition the drive according to the mounting requirements.

   Servo drive malfunction:
- Troubleshooting Method: Turn off the servo drive, wait for 5 minutes, and restart. If the error persists, the drive may have a hardware fault.
- Solution: Replace the servo drive.

Summary: Er.650 indicates that the servo drive is overheating. To resolve this error, check the ambient temperature, ensure the fan is working, correct the installation, and replace the servo drive if necessary.
