Gemo UC104 is a universal process controller designed for standard industrial analog signals. The input can be configured for 0–10 V, 0–1 V, 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA, with the measured signal scaled to the required process value. OtomasyonAVM has been supplying Gemo products since 2013.

Standard supply: 100–240 VAC, 50–60 Hz.
A 24 VAC/DC version is available when specified at the time of order.
Output: Relay output as standard. If an SSR output version is required, this should be specified when ordering.

Selectable analog inputs:
0–10 VDC
0–1 VDC
0–20 mA DC
4–20 mA DC

The UC104 can be used with transmitters and sensors providing standard analog signals for pressure, level, flow, temperature and similar process measurements.

Analog input scaling

The input is scaled using the LO.SC and HI.SC parameters. First select the required input type, then enter the process value that should correspond to the minimum and maximum analog signal.

LO.SC defines the displayed value at the bottom of the selected input range.
HI.SC defines the displayed value at the top of the selected input range.

Example 1 – 0–10 V input
With LO.SC = -100 and HI.SC = 1750:
0 V displays -100.
10 V displays 1750.
5 V displays 825.

Example 2 – 0–1 V input
With LO.SC = -100 and HI.SC = 1750:
0 V displays -100.
1 V displays 1750.
0.5 V displays 825.

Example 3 – 4–20 mA input
With LO.SC = -300 and HI.SC = 750:
4 mA displays -300.
20 mA displays 750.
12 mA displays 225.

Example 4 – 0–20 mA input
With LO.SC = -300 and HI.SC = 750:
0 mA displays -300.
20 mA displays 750.
10 mA displays 225.

The d.Pnt parameter is used to select the decimal-point position.

Control and alarm settings

Control method: ON/OFF.
OUT control direction: Direct or reverse.
OUT SET range: LO.SC to HI.SC.
OUT hysteresis: 1–100.

Alarm output: Relay, NO contact on UC104, 250 VAC / 2 A resistive load.
Alarm types: Absolute, relative and band alarm functions.
Alarm hysteresis: 1–100.
Offset: -500 to +500 using the oFFS parameter.

Alarm SET ranges:
AL.tY = Abs / -Abs: LO.SC to HI.SC.
AL.tY = rel / -rel / bnd / -bnd / bn.i / -bn.i: -500 to +500.

Input fault protection: If the analog input cannot be measured correctly, both OUT and ALARM switch OFF.

Important: A 27 Ω shunt resistor is connected internally between terminals 11 and 12 of the UC104 current input. Do not apply a voltage signal to these terminals.

Applying voltage to the current-input terminals may cause permanent hardware damage. All analog inputs are DC and the correct polarity must be observed.

Analog input specifications

Voltage input: Input impedance > 22 kΩ; maximum applied voltage 20 VDC.
Current input: Internal 27 Ω shunt; maximum applied current 50 mA DC.
Calibration range: -1999 to 4000.
Decimal point: Selectable at the 2nd, 3rd or 4th digit.

Display tolerance: ±1 digit.
Accuracy: ±0.5% of full scale.

OUT relay: NO + NC, 250 VAC / 2 A resistive load; SSR version optional.
ALARM relay: NO, 250 VAC / 2 A resistive load on UC104.

Supply voltage: 100–240 VAC, 50–60 Hz or optional 24 VAC/DC.
24 V version isolation voltage: Maximum 40 VAC.
Power consumption: < 6 VA.

Relative humidity: Up to 80% at 30 °C, decreasing linearly to 50% at 50 °C, non-condensing.
Operating altitude: < 2000 m.
EMC: EN 61000-6-1 and EN 61000-6-3 for light industrial environments.

When replacing an existing UC104, check the analog input type, supply voltage and output configuration as well as the physical size. Units with a similar front panel may not have the same electrical configuration.
