Abb component drives are designed to be incorporated into a wide variety of machines such as mixers, conveyors, fans or pumps or anywhere where a fixed speed motor needs to go variable speed motor.

The ACS150 drives have integrated user panel and potentiometer, and variety of features such as macros, which are predefined I/O configurations like 3-wire, PID control and motor potentiometer
macro. In addition, the drives offer extensive range of parameters that help obtaining the best performance out of the application.
FlashDrop, an optional drive confi guration tool designed for volume configuration, can be used to quickly and easily configure unpowered drives. FlashDrop stores up to 20 different drive parameter sets, can copy parameters from one drive to another, or between a PC and a drive.

Cooling
Cooling fans are standard equipment on ACS150 drives. The cooling air must not contain corrosive substances and the ambient temperature must be maximum 40ºC. The power loss in the drive must be taken into account when the ambient temperature is maximum 50ºC. Please refer to the information in this catalog for more detailed limitations.

Protection class NEMA 1
The NEMA 1 kit includes a junction box for finger protection, conduit mounting, and a hood for protection against dirt and dust.

FlashDrop is a palm-sized device for fast, easy parameter selection and adjustment. It offers the possibility to hide the selected parameters in order to protect the machine for automation project. Only the parameters required in the application are displayed. This tool can copy parameters between two drives or between a PC and a drive. All of the above can be done without energizing the drive (without the need to unpack the drive).
DrivePM
DrivePM (Drive parameter manager) is a tool for creating, editing and copying parameter sets for FlashDrop.
The user has the option to hide for each parameter/group so that the driver user cannot see all of the parameters/groups if desired.

Brake resistors can be selected using the relevant table. An internal brake chopper is standard equipment on the ACS150 drive. It does not require a separate place and time for assembly. For more information on the selection of braking resistors, see the device models.
