IC693MDL230

Hello,

120 Volt AC Isolated Input, 8 Point Module

Module Number: IC693MDL230

This module provides 8 isolated input points for 120 volt AC inputs. Each input point is independent, meaning they can each have a separate AC power source. For electricians, it’s important to know that you can connect devices such as buttons, limit switches, or electronic proximity sensors to each input.

Key Features of the Module:

Voltage Range: It operates between 0 and 132 volts AC, so we're using the standard 120 volts AC.
Number of Inputs: There are 8 input points.
Isolation: Each input point is isolated, meaning if there's an issue with one, it won't affect the others. Additionally, there's high-voltage isolation (1500 volts RMS) between the field side and the internal circuit of the module.

Devices Connected by the User: You can connect buttons, sensors, or switches to each input, but you need to supply the AC power for these devices. The module only works with AC power sources and cannot be used with DC power sources.

LED Indicator System: There’s an LED above each input point. The LEDs are labeled from A1 to A8, and they light up when the input is active, making it easy to see which input is operational at a glance.

Input Current and Timing:

Input Current: Typically, the module draws 14.5 mA of current from the input.
On/Off Voltages: The module works between 74-132 volts AC when the input is active. When the input is off, it operates between 0-20 volts AC.
Timing: The delay between the input becoming active or inactive is crucial. It has a maximum response time of 30 ms when turning on, and a maximum of 45 ms when turning off.

Connection Details: As you can see from the module circuit, optical isolation is used in each input point’s circuit. This provides electrical separation between the external circuit and the module, ensuring safe operation. Since each input is isolated from the others, you can power each one with a separate AC power source.

In Short:
This module simplifies safe operation by isolating the electrical inputs and is typically used in industrial devices to receive signals from buttons, switches, or sensors. The LEDs make it easy to see which inputs are active. When connecting the inputs, remember that each one is isolated, and you must use the correct AC power source. It will not work with a DC power source!
