Commander SK is a simple and cost-effective AC motor speed controller that provides performance and functionality with ease of use. It is available in several power ranges from 0.3 to 5hp and is compatible with various voltages (200-240VAC, 380-480VAC). The drive has all the parameters required for 90% of typical applications printed on the front panel, making installation and commissioning straightforward. Additionally, it offers various plug-in options and advanced features such as PLC functionality, dynamic performance, and communications options (Modbus RTU, Profibus-DP, INTERBUS, DeviceNet, CANopen, Ethernet). The drive also has a wide range of I/O options, including a Real-Time Clock, and offers easy push-button start-up with no need for complex programming. The performance of Commander SK is based on the high-performance Unidrive SP, providing torque linearity and speed torque performance.

Commander SK has a compact design with an IP20 rating and is available with a UL Type 1 or NEMA 1 rating with an optional cover and conduit entry kit. The drive operates in an ambient temperature range of -10°C to +40°C with a maximum humidity of 95% (non-condensing). It has electromagnetic immunity that complies with EN61800-3 and EN61000-6-3 and 4, and electromagnetic emissions that comply with EN61800-3 (second environment) as standard and EN61000-6-3 (residential) and EN61000-6-4 (industrial) generic standards with an optional footprint EMC filter.
The drive offers open-loop vector control, V/Hz, and has speed or torque control. It has several reference inputs, including 0-10V, 0-20mA, 4-20mA, presets, pulse, and PWM, and configurable digital I/O. The drive has a maximum switching frequency of 3kHz (default) and a maximum output frequency of 1500Hz. It has various accel and decel ramps, including linear and S type, and positive logic control. The drive also has serial communication through a Modbus RTU RS485 connector and supports DC injection braking as standard and dynamic braking transistor as standard.
The drive has various protection features, including undervoltage, supply and DC link overvoltage, phase loss, drive overload, instantaneous overcurrent, short circuit, ground fault, drive thermal, watchdog, and motor thermal. It has a maximum overload of 150% of rated current for 60 sec and an Intelligent Thermal Management (ITM) feature that optimizes switching frequency. The drive also has 8 preset speeds, flying start, mains dip ride through, and automatic no-spin autotune for fast performance optimization.
The drive is approved and listed by UL, cUL, IEC, CE Low Voltage Directive, and has ISO 9001:2000 certified manufacturing and ISO 14001 certified manufacturing facilities.

CTSoft software is a free PC or laptop-based drive configuration tool that allows for the complete control and display of all parameters within the Commander SK.
