Used AC and DC Electric Motors – Buying and Selling

Used AC and DC electric motors are considered for replacement parts or upgrades in machines, pumps, fans and other drive systems. In AC applications, verify that the variable frequency drive supports the motor type. For geared applications, check the mechanical connection separately.

Before buying, compare the complete model code, rated power, speed, voltage and current. For AC motors, verify phase count, frequency and nameplate connection; for DC motors, confirm the supply, excitation type and any separate field-circuit ratings. Assess compatibility with any external power supply or drive against the specific model. Match the shaft, frame and foot/flange dimensions, protection rating, cooling and duty to the application.

Condition and testing: Disclose the condition of the shaft, bearings, fan and terminal box, plus known damage. State any rewinding and repair history, and brush/commutator condition on brushed DC motors. The test statement should describe the supply conditions, no-load/loaded testing and available current, temperature or insulation measurements. Select a suitable motor protection device, any thermistor relay and contactor according to the motor's electrical ratings.

Sale terms: The seller named on the product page is the contact for specifications, condition/test statements and any warranty. Assess working, faulty or spare-parts items according to their stated condition. Specify which keys, pulleys, fans, brakes and other parts are included in the sale. There is no category-wide testing or warranty commitment; technical support and application consultancy are not provided.

Stock and ordering: Listings are updated at average intervals of 10 days, so sold items may remain visible for a while. Confirm availability, price and delivery with the relevant seller before ordering. Browse other equipment through the product categories homepage, or search by manufacturer in the used equipment brand directory.

Selling electric motors: Email the manufacturer, model, quantity, operating or faulty condition, asking price and clear product/nameplate photos to otomasyonavm@gmail.com. Include shaft, flange/foot and terminal photos, test records, rewinding/repair history and missing parts. We do not purchase products without an invoice. Submitting details does not constitute a commitment to purchase.
