Buying and selling used inductive sensors

Mounting and target compatibility: Compare housing diameter, thread size and length with the existing mounting. Flush and non-flush models have different installation requirements; check the specified clearances from surrounding metal. Verify that the sensing distance suits the target metal and its dimensions. Matching M12, M18 or M30 housings do not establish interchangeability.

Electrical compatibility and testing: Verify PNP/NPN, NO/NC, two-wire AC/DC or NAMUR specifications against the complete model code. Check wiring, pin assignments and controller input compatibility. Inspect the sensing face, cable and connector pins; ask whether the connector cable and mounting accessories are included. Establish which tests used a suitable supply, load and metal target. A single multimeter reading or LED indication does not prove that every function works.

Selling store and item condition: Your seller is the store identified on the product page; confirm price, stock, delivery and specifications with that store. Used, unused, boxed, repaired, faulty and parts-only items must be clearly distinguished, with known faults and missing accessories disclosed. Test scope, any warranty terms and declarations of conformity with standards are those stated in the selling store's product description.
