Toshiba S9 User manual

User manual, Error Codes and Alarms for Toshiba VF-S9
Overcurrent and Overvoltage
OC (Overcurrent): The drive has detected too much current during operation. This could be due to a sudden increase in load or a motor issue. Check the load for sudden changes and ensure the motor is operating correctly.
OP (Overvoltage): The drive voltage is higher than expected. Check the power supply and ensure that the voltage is within the specified range. Consider installing a reactor to manage voltage fluctuations.
Motor and Inverter Overload
OL1 (Inverter Overload): The inverter is carrying too much load. Check the system settings, reduce the load, or increase the inverter capacity if needed.
OL2 (Motor Overload): Similar to inverter overload, but specific to the motor. Ensure the motor is correctly rated for the load and that settings are properly configured.
Heat and Temperature Alarms
OH (Overheat): The drive has detected high temperatures. Allow the system to cool down before restarting. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation and that the cooling fan is operational.
System and Parameter Errors
Err1 (RAM Fault): Indicates an issue with the internal memory. A service call is recommended.
Err3 (ROM Fault): Similar to RAM fault but pertains to read-only memory. Contact support for assistance.
EEP1 (EEPROM Fault): Error with data writing or memory. Reset the drive by turning it off and on. If the issue persists, contact service.
General Alarms and Indicators
nOFF (Undervoltage): The main circuit voltage is too low. Check the power source and ensure the system is supplied with adequate voltage.
retry (Retry in Process): The drive is attempting to restart after a brief interruption. This is normal unless it becomes frequent, which could indicate an underlying issue.
C, P, L, H (Alarm Indicators): These indicate specific alarm conditions related to overcurrent (C), overvoltage (P), overload (L), and overheating (H). Address each as described to prevent tripping.
Resetting and Maintenance
Reset Procedure: If a trip occurs, address the cause before resetting. Reset by pressing the STOP button twice on the control panel. Allow the system to cool if overheating caused the trip.
Note: Frequently resetting the drive by power cycling can cause damage. Ensure all settings and parameters are correctly configured before operation.
