As seen in the image, a bayonet type sensor is a thermometer or temperature control device sensor with a special connection type that can be easily attached and detached from a single point. This connection type includes a socket and a corresponding pin that are secured by interlocking. Industrial standards exist for the production and calibration of PT100 sensors. The most common ones are ASTM E1137.
