Ptc - Ntc sensors
Hello,
Welcome to our PTC and NTC temperature sensors page. The PTC and NTC sensors we offer on our page are types that can be directly connected to industrial devices and are produced with metal casings. There are also models that can be used as electronic components. However, you may not find these models used as electronic components on our website.
For members who have little knowledge on the subject, we would like to give brief definitions. PTC stands for Positive Temperature Coefficient thermistors, which means that the resistance increases as the temperature increases. They are used for temperature detection and measurement. For example, they can be used in various applications such as heaters and self-resetting fuses. PTCs are also used to limit current. For example, low-power speed control devices use PTCs for startup power control. PTCs may show less sensitivity compared to their competitors. Generally, PTC resistance is between ± 15% and ± 20%.
NTC stands for Negative Temperature Coefficient thermistors, which means that the resistance decreases as the temperature increases. They are used for precise temperature control. NTCs are produced with narrow resistance tolerances and according to temperature, so their accuracy is higher. Typically, the resistance of an NTC is about ± 5%, ± 3%, ± 2%, ± 1%, or less.
Dear visitors, there are different types of temperature sensors in industry, such as PTC thermistors found in heating boilers or motors. However, you will not find these types of PTC sensors on our website.
The PTC and NTC sensors we have are designed to be directly connected to PTC or NTC reader devices. Please do not mix them up.
