Choosing a power supply

Check that the line-to-line voltage and mains frequency fall within the specified input limits. Select the output current using the actual enclosure temperature and the manufacturer's derating curves. If the output voltage is adjustable, keep it within the connected equipment's permitted range.

Check dimensions, mounting, ventilation clearances and terminals against the enclosure layout. Verify housing protection, neutral requirements, short-circuit/overload behavior and suitability for parallel operation in the model's technical documentation. Follow the manufacturer's wiring, mounting and cooling requirements for DIN rail or chassis installation.
