Put drive readings where the operator can see them

A speed or current indicator brings the operating information from a variable frequency drive to the panel door or operator station. A compatible panel display can present frequency, motor current or a scaled speed reading. Compare the products below by supply voltage, signal input and mounting dimensions; similar front panels can conceal different electrical specifications.

Check four details before ordering

Signal input: Match the indicator to the drive's supported 0–10 V or 4–20 mA monitoring output. Power supply: Check the exact model's rating, such as 24 V AC/DC or 220 V AC. Display scaling: Map the minimum and maximum analogue signal to the engineering range you need. Panel mounting: The front bezel dimensions are different from the panel cutout; also check the installation depth. For a relay-equipped model or an advanced indicator, confirm alarm settings and relay contact ratings.

Choose the reading that answers your question

To display output frequency, assign the drive's monitoring output to frequency. For measured shaft speed, consider a tachometer with a suitable sensor input. Scaling a frequency signal into rpm does not directly measure the shaft. On an induction motor, pole count and load-dependent slip affect the relationship.

For motor current, use a monitoring output assigned to that value or a suitable current sensor. Motor output current and supply input current are different readings. Current trends can assist with drive fault diagnosis, but an amperes display alone does not measure power or energy consumption.
