IC693MDL930
This module has 8 normally-open relay outputs that can handle up to 4 amps per output. Each output is isolated, meaning each one has its own separate power output terminal. This is great for controlling a variety of devices like motor starters, solenoids, and indicators, but you’ll need to provide your own AC or DC power to operate the devices connected to this module.
The relays can switch:
5 to 30 volts DC, or
5 to 250 volts AC (at either 50 or 60 Hz).
There are no fuses on this module, so no need to worry about replacing fuses. You’ll see LED indicators at the top of the module that show you whether each output is ON or OFF. The LEDs are organized in a top row labeled A1 to A8 for the 8 output points.
One thing to note: there's an insert inside the module’s hinged door. When you close the door, it shows the circuit wiring information inside, and on the outside, you can jot down circuit details if needed. The left edge of the insert is colored red, which tells you this is a high-voltage module. You can install it in any I/O slot of a 5-slot or 10-slot baseplate of a Series 90-30 PLC system.
Key Specs:
Rated voltage: 24V DC, 120/240V AC
Operating voltage: 5-30V DC or 5-250V AC (50/60Hz)
Outputs: 8 isolated relay outputs
Isolation: 1500V between the field side and logic side, 500V between groups
Maximum load per output: 4 amps resistive, 2 amps pilot duty
Max load per module (for UL installations): 20 amps
Minimum load: 10 mA
Max inrush current: 5 amps
Response time (ON and OFF): 15 ms max
Power consumption:
6 mA from the 5V bus (all outputs on)
70 mA from the relay 24V bus (all outputs on)
For wiring, follow the figure that shows how to connect your load devices and power sources to the relay output module.
In summary, this module gives you 8 strong relay outputs that can control devices with up to 4 amps per output. Each output is isolated, so no worries about interference between them. The module works for a wide range of AC or DC loads, and the LEDs will keep you informed about what’s on and what’s off.
