IC693MDL730 - 12/24 Volt DC Positive Logic Output Module (2 Amp, 8 Points)
This module is designed for the Series 90-30 PLC system and provides 8 output points in a single group. It operates with positive logic, meaning it sources current to the loads from the user’s common or positive power supply. The connected device (e.g., motor starter, solenoid, or indicator) must be linked between the negative power bus and the output of the module.
Key Features:
8 outputs, all powered from a common user-supplied external power source.
Designed for positive logic, meaning it supplies current to the load.
Compatible with various devices such as motor starters, solenoids, and indicators.
Requires a user-supplied power supply to operate the connected devices.
LED Indicators:
Green LEDs (labeled A1 through A8) display the ON/OFF status of each output.
A red “F” LED lights up if any fuse is blown.
The module has two 5-amp fuses:
Fuse 1 protects outputs A1 to A4.
Fuse 2 protects outputs A5 to A8.
Technical Details:
Rated Voltage: 12/24 volts DC.
Output Voltage Range: 12 to 24 volts DC (+20%, -15%).
Isolation: 1500 volts between the field side and logic side.
Output Current:
2 amps maximum per output.
2 amps per fuse at 60°C (140°F).
4 amps per fuse at 50°C (122°F).
Inrush Current: 9.4 amps for 10 ms.
Output Voltage Drop: Maximum of 1.2 volts.
Off-state Leakage: Maximum of 1 mA.
On/Off Response Time: Maximum of 2 ms for both on and off states.
Power Consumption:
Draws 55 mA from the 5-volt bus on the backplane when all outputs are ON.
This module is ideal for applications requiring positive logic DC output control, and it provides protection for each output with fused circuits to ensure reliability. It can be installed in any I/O slot of the 5 or 10-slot baseplate in a Series 90-30 PLC system.
