IC693CBL319
General Function of the Cables IC693CBL319 :
These cables, such as the IC693CBL311, IC693CBL319, and IC693CBL320, are used to connect Power Mate APM Modules (IC693APU301 and IC693APU302) to machines and drives. Each APM module has two 24-pin male connectors on the front panel, and two cables are required for connecting the module to the drive and machine. These cables carry data and signals between the module and the terminal block.
IC693CBL319:
A 3 feet (1 meter) long APM I/O cable that connects a 24-pin connector on the module to the terminal block.
Two cables are required per APM module.
IC693CBL320:
Similar to the IC693CBL319, but with a key difference: the drain shield wire is brought outside the connector instead of being connected to pin B12. This design improves the module’s noise immunity.
It is also 3 feet (1 meter) long and is used with APM modules.
Two cables are required per module.
Cable Structure and Connections:
These cables consist of a 24-pin I/O connector, the cable itself, and a 25-pin D-type terminal block connector. Both ends of the cable are designed to provide a pin-to-pin connection. For example:
I/O connector pin A1 is connected through wire pair 1 to pin 12 on the 25-pin connector.
I/O connector pin B1 is connected through wire pair 1 to pin 11 on the 25-pin connector.
This pattern continues for all pins according to the table.
It lists the pin numbers on the 24-pin I/O connector and their corresponding 25-pin terminal block connections, as well as the wire pair used for each connection.
Usage with APM Modules:
These cables are used to connect Power Mate APM modules to drives and machines. Typically, a short I/O Interface cable connects the module to a terminal block. The length of the cable can be shortened to meet installation requirements. For further details on APM terminal blocks, refer to manual GFK-0840 (standard mode) or GFK-0781 (follower mode).
This summary provides a better understanding of the cabling and connection requirements for your APM modules. Proper connection of these cables is essential for reliable system operation.
