GE- AF-60 LP vfd

Hi everyone,
General Electric The AF-60 LP™ Micro Drive is a type of variable frequency drive (VFD), also known as an adjustable speed drive, which is used to control the speed and torque of an electric motor. It is a micro-sized drive that is designed for use in small to medium-sized applications, and is equipped with features such as sinusoidal PWM control, digital inputs for programmable start/stop, forward/reverse, and jog operations, and a built-in potentiometer, among others. The drive is designed to be compact and highly efficient, and is capable of delivering fast and precise control of the motor it is connected to.
Features of the AF-60 LP™ Micro Drive include:
+ Compact design
+ Available in 230V single-phase and 230V/460V three-phase models
+ Available in power ratings from 1/4 to 10 HP
+ Built-in Brake Chopper for 2HP and above
+ Single-Turn Potentiometer for speed reference
+ LCD Keypad Display that can be remotely mounted
+ Auto-Tuning
+ Built-in RFI Filter
+ Process PI Controller
+ Logic Controller
+ Quick Menu
+ Side-By-Side Mounting and optional DIN Rail Mounting for space savings
+ Modbus RTU Serial Communications for integration into Automation Systems
+ NEMA 1 Kits for stand-alone installation.
The AF-60 LP™ Micro Drive is an AC drive with a rated input AC voltage of 200-240 Vac (1-phase), 200-240 Vac (3-phase), and 380-480 Vac (3-phase). The drive uses sinusoidal PWM control (V/Hz with torque vector control) and has a maximum switching frequency of 16 kHz. The drive has a variety of input options, including a keypad, digital inputs, timers, and a RS-485 Modbus RTU link.
The drive also has a variety of output options, including a 0-100% output voltage range and a frequency range of 0-200 Hz (Adv. Vector Control Plus Mode) or 0-400 Hz (Volts/Hertz Mode). The drive has a maximum overload current rating of 150% of its rated current for 1 minute. It also has DC injection braking and slip compensation to maintain constant speed with load fluctuations. The drive is compliant with CE, UL, cUL, and C-Tick standards, and is suitable for use in environments with temperatures ranging from -10°C to +50°C, with 5 to 95% relative humidity (non-condensing).
The drive is not suitable for use in environments that are exposed to dust, corrosive gases, flammable gases, oil mists, vapor, water drops, or direct sunlight, and should not be installed in areas where there is salt in the atmosphere or condensation caused by sudden changes in temperature. The drive is WEEE and RoHS compliant and is capable of delivering not more than 100,000 RMS symmetrical amperes for 230V and 460V.
The dynamic braking resistor is an add-on component that is used in conjunction with the internal brake chopper of the AF-60 LP™ Micro Drive to allow for faster deceleration rates than what could be achieved through coasting to stop. The dynamic braking feature is ideal for loads with an inertia equal to or less than the applied motor's rotor inertia. However, it is important to note that high inertia or overhauling loads may cause extended deceleration times, which could lead to overheating and tripping of the drive.
Additionally, it is important to note that the dynamic braking is not a holding brake and does not prevent the motor from rotating when it is at rest. For more information on installation and connection, it is recommended to refer to the Operating Instruction for the drive.
The logic controller in the AF-60 LP™ Micro Drive has over 23 types of programmable events, which allow for a wide range of customization options to meet the specific needs of your application. It features an array of 4 comparators, 3 timers that can be adjusted from 0.0 to 3600 seconds, and 4 Boolean logic rules. The logic controller has 20 action states that can be programmed to perform specific actions based on the logic rules.
The process controller in the drive is a proportional-integral (PI) control system, which is a type of control system that helps regulate the output of the drive to maintain a desired setpoint. The process controller allows you to select the feedback source (analog input 1, analog input 2, pulse input, or local bus reference), choose between normal or inverse control, and enable or disable the PI anti-windup function.
The process controller also allows you to adjust the start speed, proportional gain, integral gain, and feed-forward factor, which can be used to optimize the control performance of the drive. The on reference bandwidth can be set from 0-200%.
In summary, the logic and process controllers in the AF-60LP™ Micro Drive provide robust and flexible control options to meet the needs of a wide range of applications.
