Delta VFD-E series is a line of sensorless vector AC micro drives manufactured by Delta Electronics. It is designed for use in low horsepower, constant torque applications and is rated IP20 for protection against solid objects greater than 12.5mm. The VFD-E series features a modular design with flexible extension cards and a built-in PLC function that allows for simple ladder logic programming. It offers a wide range of output frequencies from 0.1 to 600Hz and has built-in EMI filters.
It also offers optional fieldbus modules for communication with networks such as DeviceNet, Profibus, LonWorks and CANopen. With complete protection functions, easy DC bus sharing, and a variety of optional cards, the VFD-E series is suitable for a wide range of applications such as small cranes, washing machines, treadmills, elevators, grinding machines, drilling machines, wood machines, webbing looms, air conditioners for large buildings, and water supply systems for large buildings.
The VFD-E series also offers a compact design that allows for easy DIN rail mounting with an optional DIN rail adapter. It has a removable keypad that can be used as a status monitor and offers additional functions such as parameter modification, run/stop, speed change, and status display with an optional keypad. The series also features a standard MODBUS protocol via RS-485 for communication with other devices and systems. The VFD-E series offers high precision current detection, full overload protection, overvoltage/overcurrent stall prevention, short circuit protection, reset after fault, speed search function, and motor overheat protection by PTC.
The VFD-E series is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications such as fan and pump equipment, paper and textile machinery, and many more. In fan and pump equipment, it can be used in building air conditioning systems, wastewater processing systems, constant pressure water treatment systems, water treatment pumps, agricultural pumps, temperature control of mid and larger ovens, air compressors, heat exchange fans, building water dispenser systems, and dryer's windmills. In paper and textile machinery, it can be used in round weavers, cross weavers, ribbon weavers, printing presses, industrial sewing machines, and knitting machines.
