Allen Bradley 1336 fault codes 2

Hi everyone,

"Here provides a troubleshooting guide for 1336 PLUS, listing various drive errors and alarms with possible solutions. Fault descriptions and clearing methods are detailed. Before clearing faults, their causes must be addressed, followed by a power cycle. The chapter also includes schematic representations and state changes of certain contacts.

Errors range from mismatched checksums, requiring a valid file upload (ERROR 1), to discrepancies in parameter numbers between the HIM and the drive (ERROR 2), to incompatible file types for the drive (ERROR 3). Also, errors involve invalid parameter values (ERROR 4), download attempts while the drive is operational (ERROR 5), and mismatched HP or voltage between the file and the drive (ERROR 6).

Faults like 'Adptr Freq Err (65)' occur when the SCANport adapter sends a frequency above 32767 to the drive, requiring correction of the illegal frequency reference. 'Auxiliary Fault (02)' indicates an open auxiliary input interlock, 'Bgnd 10ms Over (51)' signals a microprocessor loop fault, and 'Bipolar Dir Flt (16)' occurs when bipolar input is the active frequency reference, but direction control is not possible. 'Blown Fuse Flt (58)' indicates a blown bus fuse in drives of 30 kW (40HP) and above.

Hertz Sel Fault (30): Frequency selection parameter is programmed incorrectly. Reprogram with correct values.

ll Prog Input (62): Incorrect input mode selection. Reprogram the inputs or correct the input mode.

Input Phase Flt (49): Excessive DC bus ripple. Check the power source and connections.

Load Loss Flt (20): Load loss detected. Check connections between the motor and load, and the parameters.

Loop Overrun Flt (23): Overload in the control loop. Check the Main Control Board connections.

Max Retries Fault (33): Failed fault reset attempts. Check the fault code and resolve the issue.

Motor Mode Flt (24): Error originating from the Control Board. Check the Control Board connections.

Motor Stall Fault (06): Motor jam detected. Check motor load and settings.

Motor Thermistor (15): Check thermistor connections and load.

Mult Prog Input (61): Error in multiple programmed inputs. Reprogram the inputs.

Neg Slope Fault (35): Negative slope detected in the volts/hertz curve. Check the drive programming.

Open Pot Fault (09): External pot is connected but the common side is open. Check the potentiometer circuit.

Op Error Fault (11): Unsupported data type read/write request by a SCANport device. Check the programming.

Option Error (14): Incorrect slot placement of an analog board. Place it in the correct slot.

Overcurrent Flt (12): Overcurrent detected. Check for short circuits or excessive motor load.

Overload Fault (07): Internal electronic overload trip detected. Check the motor load.

Overspeed Fault (25): Non-functional condition at the time of printing.

Overtemp Fault (08): Heat sink temperature too high. Check the cooling system.

Overvolt Fault (05): DC bus voltage too high. Check the AC line.

Phase U/V/W Fault (38/39/40): Phase to ground fault detected. Check the wiring and the motor.

Poles Calc Flt (50): Incorrect calculation of motor poles. Check the parameters.

Power Loss Fault (03): Power loss detected. Check the AC line.

Power Mode Fault (26): Internal power mode variable received an incorrect value. Check the Control Board connections.

Power Overload (64): Drive's rating exceeded. Reduce the load.

Precharge Fault/Open (19/56): Issues with the precharge circuit. Check the circuit and components, replace if needed.

Prm Access Flt (34): Communication error between the microprocessor and EEPROM/DSP. Record and reset the fault.

Reprogram Fault (48): Drive commanded to write default values to EEPROM. Clear the fault and reprogram the parameters.

ROM or RAM Flt (68): Error in internal power-up ROM or RAM tests. Replace the Control Board.

Serial Fault (10): SCANport adapter or connection issue. Check and replace connections if needed.

Shear Pin Fault (63): Current limit exceeded. Check load requirements and current limit settings.

Step Logic Flt (69): Error in step logic or encoder counts. Check conditions and reset settings if needed.
