ACS 800 Manuals

Hi everyone,
ABB's ACS800 series offers a variety of solutions for industrial applications. Both drives provide low harmonic solutions in response to the growing concerns about the harmful effects of harmonics, helping to prevent sensitive equipment in the same environment from being disturbed or damaged. These drives offer easy solutions to the harmonic problem without the need for additional filtering equipment or complex and large multi-pulse transformer arrangements.
The ACS800 Drive offers a flexible and powerful solution that can be used across a broad range of applications. Typical applications include pumps, fans, and conveyors, which require constant torque. This drive is ideal for situations where simplicity in installation, commissioning, and use is preferred, and where customizing or special product engineering is not required.
The ACS800 Series, including the ACS800-37 and ACS800-U31 models, provides ultra-low harmonic drive solutions across a wider power range. The ACS800-37 model is available for power ranges from 125 to 2800 Hp, offering a cabinet-built solution, while the ACS800-U31 model provides a wall-mounted solution for power ranges from 7.5 to 125 Hp. Both models eliminate low and high order harmonics using active converter control with DTC and an LCL line filter, delivering exceptionally low harmonic content in the network that exceeds the requirements set by the IEEE519 standard at the drive input terminals, even on the weakest AC line network.
Key Features and Advantages:
Built-in Low Harmonic LCL Filter: Eliminates the need for additional filtering equipment, simplifying installation and cabling arrangements and saving floor space.
Compact Design: Occupies less space and facilitates easy installation.
FlashDrop Tool: Enables fast and safe configuration of unpowered drives, protecting the drive and connected machinery.
Expandable I/O and Fieldbus Modules: Allows easy integration of the drive into various industrial automation systems.
High Efficiency and Power Factor: Improves system efficiency and saves energy.
Both drive series offer high-performance and energy-efficient solutions suitable for a wide range of industrial automation needs, particularly in applications where minimizing harmonics is crucial. These drives are distinguished by their ease of use, flexible mounting options, and strong performance, making them suitable for a broad range of applications from small to medium-sized machine applications to large industrial plants.
