IC693MDL753

The IC693MDL753 12/24 Volt DC, 0.5A Positive Logic Output Module:

This module provides 32 discrete output points, arranged in four isolated groups of eight outputs (A1 - A8, B1 - B8, C1 - C8, D1 - D8). Each group has its own common terminal. The module works as a positive logic output (also called sourcing), meaning it supplies current to the load by switching the positive side of the power supply.

The module can switch loads between +12V and +24V DC and can handle a maximum of 0.5 amps per output. Each group has two common pins, each rated for 3 amps, and if the total load for a group exceeds 3 amps, both pins should be used.
Example Usage:

Each group can handle different voltages. For instance, groups A, B, and C can drive 24V DC loads, while group D can drive 12V DC loads. The user must provide the power for these loads, and the module draws a small amount of power from the user’s supply for gate drive control.
Isolation:

The module provides 1500V isolation between the field side and logic side using opto-couplers. Each group is isolated from the others by 250V.

When the CPU is stopped, all 32 outputs are forced OFF. The module does not have special fault or alarm diagnostics. LED indicators (labeled A1 - A8, B1 - B8, C1 - C8, D1 - D8) on the top of the module show the ON/OFF status of each output.

This module can be installed in any I/O slot of a 5-slot or 10-slot baseplate in a Series 90-30 PLC system.
Connections:

Connections from the output circuits are made to the user load devices using two 24-pin male connectors mounted on the front of the module. The right-side connector connects Groups A and B, and the left-side connector connects Groups C and D.
Wiring Methods:

Direct Method: You can use pre-wired cables with a connector on one end and stripped wires on the other. You can purchase pre-wired cables like IC693CBL327 and IC693CBL328, or build your own cables.
TBQC (Terminal Block Quick Connect) Method: This method uses cables with connectors on both ends that connect the module to DIN rail-mounted terminal blocks.

The IC693MDL753 is a positive logic output module with 32 outputs that control loads operating at 12 to 24 volts DC. It offers fast response times (0.5 ms for on and off) and can handle up to 0.5 amps per output. This module is ideal for controlling devices such as motor starters, solenoids, and indicators in industrial automation systems, providing reliable and efficient output control.
