ATV 28 fault codes 2

- ObF (Overvoltage During Deceleration):
- Description: Braking too rapidly or overhauling load.
- Corrective Actions: Increase the deceleration time. Install a braking resistor if necessary. Activate the brA function if it is compatible with the application.

- PHF (Input Phase Failure):
- Description: Input phase loss, blown fuse, input phase imbalance, transient phase fault, or 3-phase controller used on a single-phase line supply.
- Corrective Actions: Verify that the input power is correct. Check the line fuses. Verify input power connections. Supply 3-phase power if needed.

- OPF (Motor Phase Failure):
- Description: Loss of a phase at the drive controller output or drive oversized for motor.
- Corrective Actions: Check the connections from the drive controller to the motor. Disable OPL and provide external overload protection if necessary.

- SLF (Serial Link Failure):

- Description: Loss of connection between the drive controller and the remote keypad display or the MODBUS controller.
- Corrective Actions: Restore the proper connection to the remote keypad display or the MODBUS controller.

- OCF (Overcurrent):
- Description: Acceleration too rapid, drive controller and/or motor undersized for load, or mechanical blockage.
- Corrective Actions: Adjust drive controller programming. Ensure that the size of the motor and drive controller is sufficient for the load. Clear any mechanical blockages.

- SCF (Motor Short-Circuit):
- Description: Short-circuit or grounding at the drive controller output.
- Corrective Actions: Check the cables connecting the drive controller to the motor and check the insulation of the motor.

- InF (Internal Fault):
- Description: Internal fault or internal connection fault.
- Corrective Actions: Remove sources of electromagnetic interference. Verify that the start/stop potentiometer kit (part number VW3A28100) has not been connected or disconnected with the drive controller powered up. Replace the drive controller if necessary.

- tnF (Auto-Tuning Fault):
- Description: Special motor or motor whose power is not suitable for the n or nld setting of the UFb parameter.
- Corrective Actions: Use the L or P setting of UFt.

- EEF (EEPROM Fault):
- Description: Internal drive controller memory error.
- Corrective Actions: Remove power from the drive controller and reset. Replace the drive controller if the fault persists.

Driver Controller Not Starting, No Error Displayed

The assignment of the Quick Stop or Freewheel functions prevents the controller from starting when the relevant logic inputs are not energized. The ATV28 controller shows "nSt" in freewheel mode and "FSt" in quick stop mode. This is normal as these functions are active at zero for the controller to safely stop in case of a wire break.

After power-up or a manual error reset or stop command, the motor can only be energized after the forward, reverse, and DC injection stop commands are reset. If these are not reset, the driver controller will display "rdY" but will not start. If the automatic restart function is configured (parameter Atr in the drC menu) and the driver controller is in 2-wire control, these commands are considered without the need for reset.
