NORD Files
NORD Files brings together the product family and compatible subgroups used for motor speed and torque control in NORD drive electronics. Use the child families for the exact product selection.
Technical scope: Child families are evaluated separately by frequency-inverter and motor-starter duty. Verify input supply, motor current, output rating, control terminals, braking arrangement and communication option against the complete device variant.
The enclosure name alone is insufficient when selecting NORD Files. Compare the hardware version, firmware level and parameter backup with the existing machine's motor data, command method and field wiring.
A frequency-inverter family must not be treated as a motor starter. During replacement, preserve supply class, motor connection, safety functions and option modules as well as the power rating.
For NORD Files, NORD Frequency Inverters, NORD Motor Starters and NORDAC trio TR show the product-class and generation distinctions together.
Compare adjacent NORDAC families through NORDAC compact NC/FNC, NORDAC compact basic and NORDAC compact FCV/CV Generation; a similar enclosure does not prove electrical or software interchangeability.
Selection and compatibility notes for NORD Files
Replacement check: before commissioning NORD Files, verify the ordering code, motor nameplate data, parameter set, I/O functions, communication protocol and mounting arrangement together.
