What is Klockner Moeller XC200 Legacy?

Klockner Moeller XC200 Legacy is a PLC series that runs a machine-control program and manages field inputs and outputs. It reads sensor states, executes the user logic and commands devices such as motor contactors, valves, lamps or other outputs.

The operating chain is straightforward: sensors and pushbuttons send states to the inputs; the controller scans those inputs, executes the user program held in memory and updates the outputs from the resulting decisions. Outputs command contactors, valves, indicators or other control devices. This scan repeats continuously so the machine reacts as conditions change.

Models and hardware

Models and system context: Verified model examples under this heading are XC-CPU201 / XC-CPU202; the associated system is XC200 / XIOC. The examples identify the documented product group; always confirm the complete order code, hardware issue and connection arrangement for the installed unit.

Programming software

For XC, XIOC, XN300 and easyControl products, select the XSoft/XSOFT-CODESYS generation for the target hardware. Lifecycle and service status: This heading mainly covers a product series encountered when maintaining legacy Moeller systems. The existence of an archived manual does not mean the product is still manufactured; base replacement decisions on the complete code, program backup and wiring diagram.

Selection criteria: verify CPU generation, supply and I/O architecture, communication network, programming software and project backup together. A related series name or similar enclosure alone does not prove electrical or software compatibility.
