IC693ALG390 Analog Voltage Output Module (2 Channel)

This module is a 2-channel analog voltage output module designed for the Series 90-30 PLC. It converts digital data (binary) into analog voltage output for each channel, with a range of -10 to +10 volts. The module uses 12-bit resolution, providing precise voltage control on each channel.

Both channels are updated on every scan cycle (approximately every 5 milliseconds). User data is stored in the %AQ registers in a 16-bit 2’s complement format. The PLC processes this data and sends it to the module for conversion to analog output.

Module Operation:

    If the CPU enters STOP mode or performs a RESET, the output can either default to 0 volts or hold the last value, depending on the jumper configuration on the module. You can set this option using the DEF0 jumper on the terminal connector.

Power Supply:

    The primary power source is the isolated +24 VDC supplied by the PLC. You can also connect an external 24V power supply to keep the module running and outputs stable in case of internal power loss. The external supply needs to provide at least 0.7V higher voltage than the isolated +24 VDC.

Connections and Noise Reduction:

    To minimize noise and interference, it's recommended to use twisted and shielded cables for all field connections. The cable shields should be connected to the GND terminal, providing better noise rejection and ensuring more stable output.

    Resolution: 2.5 mV (1 LSB = 2.5 mV)
    Update Rate: 5 milliseconds (approximately)
    Maximum Output Load: 5 mA (minimum resistance 2K ohms)
    Isolation: 1500 volts between the field side and the logic side

This module can be installed in any 5- or 10-slot baseplate in a Series 90-30 PLC system.
