- Secure cable connections.
- Diagnostic assistant for quick fault diagnosis when active.
High-Performance DC Operation
- Compatibility with all classic and advanced setups up to high power, such as 12-pulse parallel, 12-pulse series, sequential control, and sandwich configuration.
- Motor voltage controller that considers line voltage levels and sudden voltage drops.
General Features
- DCS800-S power converter modules have IP00 protection class for mounting in a cabinet or finger-protected area. Units are available in different sizes (D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, D7) classified according to current and voltage ranges.
- All units are equipped with a DCS800 Control Panel, which can be attached to the power converter module or mounted on the cabinet door using a mounting kit.
- Accessories such as external fuses, line reactors, etc., are also available to complete the full drive system.
- All converter modules (D1...D4) are equipped with field exciters up to 525 V and 1000 A.
- The power section of the converters is available as a single (2-Q) bridge or dual (4-Q) bridge. 4-Q drives are required for regenerative braking and can be created as follows:
- Dual (4-Q) armature bridge or
- Single (2-Q) armature bridge plus dual (4-Q) field converter bridge
- The bridge type affects the maximum output voltage of the converter.
The ABB DCS800 DC drive is an ideal choice for those seeking a powerful and flexible motor control solution. Its compact design does not compromise functionality and easily integrates into your industrial ecosystem, enhancing the efficiency and safety of your operation.
