Buying and selling used flow sensors and flow meters

Application and signal compatibility: Instruments designed for water, oil or compressed air are not automatically interchangeable. Check wetted materials, installation orientation and required pipe conditions for the specific model. A flow switch provides a threshold signal rather than a numerical flow reading. For sensors with analog outputs, verify the 4–20 mA or 0–10 V range. For pulse outputs, check the counter input and pulse factor. Any communication interface and gas-flow reference conditions must also suit the application. Similar housings or identical connection sizes do not establish interchangeability.

Included components and testing: Ask whether the measuring body/probe, transmitter, seals, mounting parts, and cables and connectors are included. Check for reported contamination, wear and leakage. A working display does not establish measurement accuracy. Confirm the test fluid, measuring range and reference used with the selling store. If a calibration certificate is available, check its date, scope and correspondence to the instrument.

Selling store and item condition: Your seller is the store identified on the product page; confirm price, stock, delivery, specifications and item condition with that store. Used, unused, boxed, repaired, faulty and parts-only items must be clearly distinguished, with known faults and missing accessories disclosed. Test scope, any warranty terms and declarations of conformity with standards are those stated in the selling store's product description. Boxed or unused equipment does not automatically come with a warranty.
